VH1 Series 'Basketball Wives' Headed To Los Angeles This Fall (BLOG)

With its third season currently airing, VH1 revealed this week that their hit reality series, "Basketball Wives", will heading to Los Angeles later this year.

Dubbed "Basketball Wives LA", it will be be the fourth season of the popular series, which follows a group of women romantically linked to professional basketball players, whether they're wives, girlfriends, or "friends."

The L.A. installment will be the same, as it follows five women, as they navigate the ups and downs of their relationships with NBA superstars -- and each other.

The upcoming season's cast includes Kimsha Artest, wife of Los Angeles Laker Ron Artest; Jackie Christie, wife of Doug Christie, retired player for the Los Angeles Clippers; and Imani Showalter, ex-fiancée of Charlotte Bobcats' Stephen Jackson.

The original series is filmed in Miami, and has starred such Shaquille O'Neal's ex Shaunie, retired center Michael Olowokondi's ex Suzie Ketcham, Antoine Walker's ex Evelyn Lozada, and former "Real World" cast member and Kenny Anderson's ex Tami Roman.

For season four, viewers will probably recognize Gloria Govan, fiancée of Laker Matt Barnes. Gloria bitterly feuded with other cast members during season one, but this time her sister Laura Govan will be there for back up.

"Basketball Wives LA" will premiere on August 29.
