Julia Roberts looks at The Evil of 'Mirror Mirror'

Julia Roberts took time out at the end of Hollywood to focus on three of her children - but admits that she loves to return to the big screen as evil tale in his latest film.

To play the evil queen in the «Mirror Mirror», a new version of Snow White, marks a new direction for the actress, whose career included all campaign lawyer on call girl high class and celebrity love interest.

Directed by Indian filmmaker Tarsus Singh - who in the past year, "The Immortals" - a film based on the Brothers Grimm fairy tale opens the famous children in the United States on Friday.

Roberts, who at 44 remains one of the most profitable stars in Hollywood, made a name for himself in films, 1990's "Pretty Woman" and "Erin Brockovich" in 2000, and said, "She never thought she would appear in the a fairy tale.

"Only one proposal initiated by phone:" Hey, they're doing an adaptation of Snow White, "which did not catch my attention. I had no interest in it, really, until Tarsus, what attracted me to his evil way." Does she told reporters.

"And I looked at the script and realized that something really is."

The film tells the story of Disney's popular in the world, but it gives another twist is sometimes funny, even ridiculous, that creates a visual world is sometimes closer to the "Alice in Wonderland" as the brothers Grimm.

For Roberts, the film is less a question that distinguishes it from Disney, but "change the tone, just to give a different relationship" between the Queen and Snow White, played by a young British actress Lily Collins.

"I think people like variations on things," said Roberts.

"Notting Hill" and, more recently, "Eat, Pray, Love" star said she loved to play the queen, Snow White's stepmother.

Director happy with his new take on the classic story. "Fairy tales have always evolved. Before the Brothers Grimm, Snow White fairy tale is very dark," said Singh.

While "Mirror Mirror" is a family film, Roberts says she still does not intend to show it to 7 years old twins Hazel and Phinnaeus and Henry or 4 years, in the near future.
