Rondo Has Triple-Double as The Celtics 91-72 Rout of Heat

Rajon Rondo had a triple-double and the Boston Celtics gave him the biggest loss in Miami in the season, away to 91-72 win over the fire on Sunday.

Celtics dominate the heat 12.31 in the third quarter, turning 49-44 lead to halftime with a 80-56 advantage. They remained in front, at least 19 rest of the way to their fifth consecutive victory.

Miami last three losses, at least 15 points and his worst defeat of last season, came only a week earlier, in the 103-87 setback in Oklahoma City.

Rondo finished with 16 points, 14 rebounds and 11 broadcasts, reaching triple-double with 8 1/2 minutes to play. It was his 13th consecutive game, at least 10 assists, and his fifth triple-double of the season.

Celtics, combining tenacious defense with outstanding play during the transition period, increased their Atlantic Division lead to a game at idle Philadelphia.

Heat, playing their third game in four days, LeBron James led with 23 points, but it does not work only the second time in his career. Dwyane Wade added 15 points. Heat continues to struggle on the road, losing for the seventh time in the last 10 games away from home. Miami has lost fewer home league on 21-2, but only 16.12 in the road.

Paul Pierce scored 23 points, and Brandon Bass added 16 points and 10 rebounds for Boston.

Miami scored two of the first three baskets of the third quarter, resulting in reduction of 51-48. Then the Celtics dominated the rest of the period of heat 8.29, reaching 14 of 23 shots, while Miami made just 5 of 19. Rondo had eight gears in the quarter.
