NASA postpones shuttle Endeavour's launch in 48 hours

Space Shuttles - Launch of Space Shuttle Endeavour, including Barack Obama was to take part in the afternoon, was postponed at least until 2 May, the National Aeronautics and Space Administration has announced.

Obama visited areas affected by the storm in tornado stricken Alabama today, the way to Cape Canaveral. The President still plans to visit the processing facilities orbiter at Kennedy Space Center, where shuttles are maintained.

In the fiscal 2012 budget, Obama proposed a 18.7 billion for NASA, the 1.5 billion less than it requested last year. He also completed a program of NASA Constellation, developed by the Bush administration, which built the spacecraft to return to the moon by 2020. Instead, Obama wants to focus on exploration by NASA in space and sending humans to Mars in mid-2030's,.
