2012 Monday Night Football Schedule

Monday Night Football Schedule for the 2012 NFL Season: The NFL regular-season schedule for the 2012 season was released on April 17.The anticipation of this schedule release could make one think that their team's season has already been decided in April. Of course, the New York Jets and Washington Redskins are amongst the teams who know all about "Paper championships."

The one thing that sticks out to this football enthusiast is the Monday Night Football schedule. I was disappointed with the blandness of the schedule in 2011. I was particularly irritated that the Jacksonville Jaguars had received two games. While I give them credit for pulling off an upset in one of them (Baltimore Ravens), I just don't understand why ESPN would want games that feature teams that make most people outside of Florida think "Who cares?"

As a Green Bay Packers fan, I'm obviously looking forward to the showdown between Aaron Rodgers and Matt Flynn on September 24. What game are you most excited about?

Monday Night Football

Monday Night Football begins its 42nd season tonight with a battle between the defending AFC East division champion Patriots in New England and Miami Dolphins. There is another AFC Monday night game tonight, with the Raiders from Oakland to Denver Broncos.Monday Patriots marks the debut of the new range receiver Chad Ochocinco. Pats newly acquired defensive tackle Albert Haynesworth is listed as "doubtful" because of illness.

The dolphins are finding new faces, including former Saints running back Reggie Bush.

Last season, Miami defeated the Patriots twice on the way the AFC East title. A possible stumbling block for tonight overlooking the NFL MVP Tom Brady and the offense New England will face Sebastian Vollmer out of the lineup, due to injury.

Bill Belichick, now entering its 12 th season as head coach Pats, seeks an improvement in his team's defense. Former Redskin Haynesworth, acquired in trade during the offseason, should help strengthen the Patriots up quickly.

Later Today in Denver, Broncos, under new head coach John Fox, will host the AFC West division rival Raiders. Oakland has also included a new coach Hue Jackson.

Were quarterbacks, both teams spotlight in recent times. Kyle Orton will start Broncos, even though a second year pro Tim Tebow has the most of the press in the off-season.

The Raiders start the first Redskin Jason Campbell in the center. Oakland, through the project complements earlier this summer, has also disgraced former Ohio State's Terrell Pryor fourth on their list. However, the NFL suspended Pryor for the first team in five games for violating NCAA rules, if the sentence has been appealed.

Monday Night Football can be seen on ESPN, which just last week announced it would MNF broadcast for the next eight seasons in the NFL, paying nearly $ 15 billion to continue the association.
