Watch The ‘Ring Of Fire’ Solar Eclipse Online

If you are one of the lucky ones, living in large parts of the United States in the Pacific Northwest of North Texas, you will find a rare treat tonight.

This is called “annular eclipse of the sun”, which occurs when the moon glides by the sun, blocking the center, leaving a glowing ring called “Ring”.

We could get into the “shadow”, “dark” and “antumbra”, but you’ll have to Google for yourself. The main difference between the annular eclipse of the sun and the solar eclipse due to the fact how measure the moon is from Earth.

The closer to the ground, it is, the more the moon – block more sun. When the moon is farthest from Earth is less than leaving this “ring of fire” when it seems to pass before the sun. Now the moon is farthest from Earth, it is particularly large ring of fire.

In fact, it’s not just Americans that the band along to be able to see this very rare solar lunar events. (The last was in 1994.)

It begins in the southern part of China, then move along the southern coast of Japan, to cross the Pacific Ocean south of the Aleutian Islands to hit the U.S. state of Oregon, California border. (Speaking of the “Ring of Fire”, the Aleutian Islands are part of another “Ring of Fire” -. Volcanic rim around the Pacific Ocean from South America to New Zealand, it has nothing to do with Johnny Cash, though.)

This image of the Office of the United Kingdom Hydrographic is particularly good.

The main advice to monitor the annular eclipse in the evening and his “ring of fire” is to be cautious.

Ron Hipschman, who describes himself on Twitter as “Loose Cannon at the Exploratorium” in San Francisco, offers the following warning:

“When I was a kid, did you ever take a magnifying glass in the sun and burn the leaves? If so, you probably remember that when the attention of the sunlight is refracted through a lens and focused on a small area, such as energy, it was really nice. You know what? Do you have a goal just to the eye. If you look at the sun, eye lenses concentrate the sunlight and focus it on a very small spot on the back of the retina. This can cause permanent eye damage or blindness. Furthermore, there is no pain sensors so you will not even know what it is! Am I afraid to shake you? Good! ”

On this site, Mr. Hipschman provides guidelines for safe observation of any solar eclipse.

How could you do in your year of high school science, you can create an opening in the projector, using a long box, a piece of foil, a pin, and a sheet of white paper. What a great opportunity to do something with the kids!

This site shows you how to build a projector using a black plastic cup, waxed paper, scissors, eraser, and bugs. Clark Planetarium in Salt Lake City has a good sense of creating holes by simple projection.

“Get even more basic, you can use your own hands,” said Hipschman. “Just keep the fingers of both hands overlap at right angles. Holes between the fingers to make a puncture.”

Clark Planetarium director Seth Jarvis said, forget the old proposal to soot from a candle flame on a piece of glass, use a black and white film, a doubling in the sunglasses. Neither provides adequate protection, and he does not recommend trying to use a welding goggles to watch the sun if they are not designed for arc welding (at least class 14).

So enjoy the light show tonight, but do it carefully.

Tornadoes Rake Wichita Area, Causing Extensive Damage

Tornadoes swept through the south of Wichita on Saturday, causing considerable damage, but apparently no serious injuries.

Spirit AeroSystems and Boeing took a direct hit, officials said, as well as Oaklawn Park District and the mobile home.

Preliminary reports indicated that 100 trailers in a mobile home park were damaged when the storm struck shortly before 10:30 pm in Oaklawn, two houses were destroyed and several others were damaged. Two residents were taken to a hospital emergency room in the region, while many others were wounded, but did not go to the hospital.

In general, hospitals reported that they saw about a dozen patients in the storm in the metropolitan area, which also left thousands of customers without power.

Spirit AeroSystems nearby, six buildings were severely damaged and four others suffered serious damage.

A preliminary assessment by officials of the City and County estimated the total losses in the Wichita area to be like $ 283 million.

At 0:25, Sedgwick County Commission Chairman Tim Norton said the state of disaster, which will initiate the emergency plan and report to government officials that support and further assistance may be required. Governor Sam Brownback declared an emergency disaster.

Mobile home park Pinaire near 52nd Street South and Clifton was badly damaged, and in the middle of the complex fire, which was obviously caused by the rupture of gas burned.

Christine Dean, who lives in the park, said she was one of 75 to 100 people who took refuge in shelters in the park.

"All summer, and everyone was shouting," she said. "We all crowded."

She said the noise of the storm lasted from 15 to 20 seconds. When it was over, she said, some of the trailers were on fire and the other was not.

Power lines down, she said, and car windows were smashed. The smell of gas filled the air.

She said the park was "almost gone. This is devastating, but you know we are alive."

Cars have difficulty obtaining the park because of damage to trees and power lines in the region. Many respondents extraordinary profit on its feet.

Sedgwick County spokeswoman Kristi Zukovich said officials are still trying to assess the damage until midnight. She said officials are asking people to stay in the area bounded by the thirty-ninth and 63 Street to the south, and Hydraulic and K-15, so that rescuers can enter

Shortly after the storm - which swept through Oklahoma and Sumner County - residents of the park shouting the names of family members who are missing. Other people began to ask people to shut up so they could hear the voices of people who may be trapped under the rubble.

Many residents gathered at the entrance to the park.

Kristin Moyer, who lives in the park, said that it covers far from the park, as well as what she described as "a skinny tornado" hit.

Among those who gathered at 47th and Clifton after the storm was Pam Thurman Belle Plaine. She and other nurses, Tony Bowman, Wellington, led to a field hearing of the damage.

"We are nurses," said Thurman. "This is what you should do."

Mary Silver, who lives in Oaklawn, said she left the fire storm in the derby with 150 other people and lots of pets.

The Red Cross has sent four teams of disaster assessment and has opened a shelter in a recreation center derby at 3 pm on Sunday.

A spokesman for Boeing Forrest Gossett said that the company "took a direct hit." A skeleton crew was on duty, he said, but there were no immediate reports of injuries. The Company will not be able to assess the damage until the morning, he said, but it was huge.

Spirit AeroSystems, a part of the production side of the installation process has disappeared. The plant was without power and said six buildings were severely damaged and four were seriously damaged.

"It's important," said spokeswoman Debbie Gann's Spirit AeroSystems.

There were no immediate reports of damage. MacArthur debris lined the roads of the plant.

Spirit of the representative Jarrod Bartlett said later that the company should suspend its operations due to damage. The spirit of working regularly on a Sunday, should not go to work if they are directly contacted, he said.

"Our first priority is the safety and well-being of our employees," said Bartlett. "We can not fully assess the damage today."

To the northeast, Hawker Beechcraft reported damage to the roof, with pieces of land on Webb Road.

USD 259 officials also reported damage to the roof of a new elementary school Colvin.

In assessing the storm at 2 am, Wichita Fire Eagle Brad Crisp said that the damage was significant in the south of Wichita, south-east of Wichita and Sedgwick County south.

He said emergency crews are still dealing with gas leaks and hazardous materials in the Spirit.

The darkness and the storm continued, stretching out past 4 am, was to prevent damage assessment, Crisp said.

Fire Marshal has confirmed that people should stay away from damaged areas during the day Sunday to make way for emergency crews.

While Crisp said he had not heard reports of people that can be captured as a result of the storm was at least one report of a person reported missing on Sunday morning.

The storm, which struck a mobile home park is part of a powerful system that passed through Kansas, churning out dozens of tornadoes reported but not causing death or serious damage elsewhere in the state early in the morning.

The system spawned at least six tornadoes in rural western Kansas on Saturday afternoon, including the north of Dodge City, which has been on earth for about half an hour.

As a storm swept the state, large tornado went around the city of Salina, on Saturday night as another tornado 90 miles of the city threatens to Reno County Pretty Prairie.

In Butler County, emergency officials feel that they have avoided major disasters.

El Dorado County residents Butler said officials in the management of emergency situations, that a few large trees, some as much as one meter in diameter, fell to the south and west of the County Courthouse.

Storm damage in the small downtown Wichita, but caused flooding Main Street.

Heroes Sports Bar patrons not to evacuate when the tornado sirens sounded, even if the plan was in place were more severe weather conditions in their way. Early warning is kept most people from the city center on Saturday, with scattered crowds who inhabit the area after the Miranda Lambert concert and storms.

"We have a basement, which we could all those people when things got worse," manager Eric Heroes Davisson said. "The most we saw was a flood, and when the rain stopped, we checked for any damage to the front and rear and there was nothing there."

Kansas Division of Emergency Management has activated its Emergency Operations Center in Topeka to track storms and be prepared to provide the necessary assistance. But as dusk settled on the state, it appears that little help was needed.

Responsible for emergency management said initial reports indicate that the structural damage was limited to farm buildings and houses in Rush County.

Minor wind damage reported in Russell County, where the K-18 was closed near Luray and because the power lines on the road to Lucas. Minor flooding reported in areas with low levels throughout the state.

Concerns about early storms prompted McConnell Air Force Base air refueling tankers to move from 16 to Air Force Base Grand Forks Air North Dakota, spokeswoman Jessica Brown said that the database lieutenant.

Damage from the storm reported in McConnell and the Kansas Aviation Museum, including a B-47 display.

It was only the second time the storm forecast center issued a warning of high risk for more than 24 hours. The first was in April 2006 when a tornado tore off about 100 south-eastern United States and killed dozens of people and damaging more than 1,000 homes in Tennessee.

The storm system on Saturday has been widely distributed throughout the Midwest, but it did not give such damages. Baseball size hail reported in the north-eastern part of Nebraska, and there was a tornado warning just before dawn in Oklahoma City, where three possible tornadoes were reported in the west and north of the city.

The threat of severe weather were to go to the south-central Kansas on Sunday. Weather forecasters predict will be windy with a high of almost 70 years.

Trayvon Martin Case: George Zimmerman was Judged Unfairly by The Media?

Is the neighborhood watch captain, George Zimmerman, illegally tried to fire on television unarmed teenager Trayvon Martin? This is what some commentators say now, a month after the fateful meeting in a pair of Sanford, Fla.

Death of Mr. Martin was a shame, Fox News talk show host Bill O'Reilly said about «O'Reilly Factor" Thursday, adding that the circumstantial evidence suggests that Mr. Zimmerman may have jumped to conclusions of racial profiling and Martin, as a man any good.

But Florida Special Prosecutor Angela Corey is investigating the death of Martin, Mr. O'Reilly said, and there is no reason to Oprah Winfrey and other celebrities should demand the arrest until the end of the probe.

"When it comes to experts, I am unhappy with the peak of the court," said O'Reilly. "When it comes to parents, Trayvon, however, they should be cut some slack."

O'Reilly a conservative man, William Bennett, former education minister, went even further in terms of views on CNN on Friday. Recent revelations have drawn a more complex picture of how and Martin Zimmerman, he writes, with the former becoming part of a social democrat, a Spaniard, and the second, a teenager who was suspended from school.

Approval of Jesse Jackson that the death of Martin's shows, blacks "under attack", Spike Lee and tweeting the wrong address for parents Zimmerman, forcing a couple of innocents from their homes to show a deeper problem in the treatment of the case, according to Bennett.

"Many people do not hunt impartial justice, but also to use this crisis for personal or political, and claiming that he is a representative of the big problems of society," says Bennett.

This analysis does not account for the main feature of the case of Martin, according to critics. If this is not for the national buzz about how the Sanford Police initially treated the murder, there would be no special prosecutor to look critically at the facts. Zimmerman may have gone, despite the numerous discrepancies between his account of the meeting and other evidence.

"This is a tragedy and shame, and justice must be served," said Ms. Winfrey in a television interview on Thursday.

Charles M. Blow, columnist of opinion New York Times, on his Twitter feed on Friday listed a number of ways on behalf of the family Zimmerman, of what happened does not match what appears on the 911 and the physical location of the scene.

Among other things, said Martin Zimmerman walked behind the house, and came to him. But Zimmerman was in the car on the streets and houses have been combined, making it virtually impossible to see behind the houses, said Blow. Also, if Zimmerman turned back to his car, where family members say he did, it would be inside, before they can begin the fight.

"People, this is not rocket science. This is what common sense. I'm not Perry Mason .... We need a jury," Blow Twitter.

Fitness Zimmerman was also a problem because the police band arrives at the station for questioning, do not seem to show a broken nose and injuries other than a lawyer, Craig Zimmerman Ring said his client sustained in battle.

Mr. Ring said the video "grainy" and his brother, Zimmermann insisted on CNN on Thursday that the details of health care Zimmermann.

However, drip, drip of revelation in the media continued Friday with a funeral director, who was involved in the body, Martin told CBS he has not seen injuries, fighting, anonymous source tells New York Daily News, that Zimmerman lost his job as a guard for the fact that too aggressive.

Gallagher Suspends Tour Schedule After Suffering a Heart Attack, The Other Sunday

Gallagher Suspends Tour Schedule After Suffering a Heart Attack, The Other Sunday: After suffering a second heart attack within a week and a half Gallagher hangs a watermelon with a hammer defeat - at the moment.

Comic prop 65 have canceled all performances at this time on his tour schedule after being hospitalized on Sunday in Sedona, Ariz., after suffering another heart attack, his manager, Craig Marquardo, said the News.

Despite the relatively mild, the attack was the fear of the latest health of the actor, whose real name is Leo Anthony Gallagher Jr., who returned home to Arizona to recover from a major cardiac arrest suffered on March 14, the day before he was set to peform at the bar in Lewisville, Texas.

"We can not be good for someone's heart, mind and health to be airline, car rental and hotel every night, and then smashed watermelons in front of a noisy crowd of the night by night," said Marquardo. «He was on his way for 32 years. "

Gallagher Lewisville heart attack was severe enough that doctors put the actor in a medical coma to treat it. And it was less than a year after it collapsed on stage the comic after suffering a heart attack during a performance at the Whiskey Roadhouse bone in Rochester, Minn.

"I'm tired of [round \]," Gallagher told CNN on Monday.

And it's not like he has no options: comics, who studied chemical engineering at the University, and holds a patent on software is a slot machine jackpot Financial said that his manager.

"He will try to take some time off from touring and how it moves forward, it would still be doing some gigs, but we really cherry choice," said Marquardo, adding that he prefers to let his customers rarely stick rack shows and abandon the physical feature that attracts crowds of wild NASCAR.

Hollywood Movie Star George Clooney Was Arrested: Hollywood movie star George Clooney was arrested at the Sudanese Embassy in Washington on Friday in an emergency, such as climbing blocks humanitarian assistance to the Sudan to achieve a volatile region of the border, where hundreds of thousands of people do not have enough food.

Clooney, father of Nicholas and other anti-Sudan activists ignored three warnings to leave the police and taken to the base of the Embassy in plastic handcuffs while waiting van in the form of the Secret Service, Reuters reporter covering the event said.

"We need humanitarian assistance provided in the Sudan, before to be the worst humanitarian crisis in the world," George Clooney told reporters shortly before his arrest.

"Second, we are here to ask for the government in Khartoum to stop accidentally killed his innocent men, women and children. Stop rape them and let them starve to death. This is all we ask."

Clooney, who on Wednesday was a guest at the White House banquet in honor of British Prime Minister David Cameron, and some others posted bail and went to no later than Friday.

"You never know when you do something ... We hope this will help," Clooney told reporters after his release, adding that the arrest was his first, and "I hope that this is my last."

Activists have drawn parallels between the current crisis in Sudan, Southern Kordofan and Blue Nile provinces and violence for nearly a decade ago in the western region of Darfur, where Khartoum has attracted international condemnation by removing the violent uprising in the conflict, which killed the UN estimates that nearly 300,000 people.

U.S. CONCERN

The United States has expressed serious concern over the deteriorating conditions in the border areas, where Sudanese troops fighting insurgents in line with its newly independent neighbors south of Sudan.

Solar Storm hits Earth ... But so Far no Problems

Solar Storm hits Earth ... But so Far no Problems: The most closely watched this year's solar storms sweeping the planet right now, and still affect satellites, power grids and communications networks are not as serious as some had feared, experts say space weather.

But they cautioned that the storm could intensify during the day.

Two strong solar flares erupted from the surface of the Sun on Tuesday night, blast waves of plasma and charged particles toward Earth. This eruption of material - called a coronal mass ejection, or CME - SPED 4000000 in the space of miles / hour (6.4 million km / h).

Satellite monitoring known as enlarged conductor took the first signs of CME interaction with the magnetic field of our planet around 5:45 ET Thursday the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration Space Weather Prediction reported.

"Until now, the orientation of the magnetic field is opposite to what is necessary to cause the strongest storm" in the center said in its forecast update. "In the case progresses, this area will continue to change."

At noon, ET, the level of geomagnetic disturbance was relatively minor in G1. But space weather forecasts said they expected increase in attacks. "Based on the total labor force projections for the period up to the level of G3 look justified," according to the forecast.

Space Weather Service said they expected the CME, to add to the strange combination of magnetic emissions, radio, and intense radiation - which can occur as a result of strong solar storms common in December 2006 even if the rocket that caused this is not the most important. They noted that the storm did not hit the Earth in the forehead, and the provision of grazing impact on the planet.

The land was already in the midst of a major storm of the solar radiation that can interfere with satellites in space and electricity to the ground, said Joseph Kunches, a scientist at the Center for space weather forecasting space weather. Planes flew over the polar regions of Earth may run into problems of communication, as well as some commercial aircraft have already taken precautions, Kunches said.

"There is potential for the induced currents in power systems," said Kunches environment. "The operators of power systems have all been warned. He may start to cause induced eddy currents."

The consequences of the storm may linger until Friday, Kunches said.

"Such a CME can lead to geomagnetic storms, causing auroras at low latitudes, with a possible violation of the high-frequency radio communications, global positioning systems (GPS) and power systems," NASA scientists said in a statement.

Geomagnetic activity has improved Aurora normal screen (also known as the northern lights and southern). "Skywatchers at all latitudes should be prepared to shine", astronomer Tony Phillips wrote on his website Spaceweather.com, which monitors space weather.

Obama's former nanny living in fear

Once upon a time, gently Evie "Barry" Obama, a child who will grow up to become the most powerful man in the world. Now, his former babysitter transsexual waived his floral dresses, tight, brocade vest and bra, and lives in fear on the streets of Indonesia.

Evie, who was born a man, but believes that in fact a woman, suffered a life of ridicule and beatings because of his personality. She told the soldiers once shaved off her long black hair on his head and smashed cigarette burns on the hands and arms.

The turning point came when she found another bloated bodies floating in the sewage canals transgender backed two decades ago. She took all her clothes a girl in his arms and buried in two large boxes. Half of used lipstick, face powder, eye makeup - she gave them all.

"I knew in my heart that I am a woman, but I do not want to die like that," said Evie, now 66 years old, her lips trembling slightly, as a stream of memories back. "So I decided to take it .... I've lived so people from that time."

The attitude to transsexuals Indonesia is complex.

No one knows how many of them live in a country of huge archipelago of 240 million, but activists estimate of 7 million euros. Because Indonesia is home to more Muslims than any other country in the world, the omnipresence of men living as women and vice versa is often catches newcomers by surprise. They contain a random part, work as a singer in the halls and includes well-known celebrities, talk show Dorce Gamalama.

However, the lack of respect for the community is still very - when transsexuals act in TV sitcoms, they are still the main victims of the joke. They have a much lower profile in recent years, after a series of attacks by Muslim hardliners. And the country's highest Islamic body decided that they should live the way they were born, because each floor has an obligation to fulfill, such as reproduction.

"They should learn to accept their character," said Ichwan Syam, a Muslim cleric in the influential Indonesian Ulema Council. "If they do not want to be treated by medical and religious" they "accept their fate of being ridiculed and persecuted."

Transgender people are turning to prostitution because they work hard to find, but because they want to live in accordance with what they consider their true gender. By doing so, they put them in danger of contracting AIDS and other sexually transmitted diseases.

Some, like Evie, chose to hide their feelings. Another push. Last month, a 50-year-old Indonesian transvestite applied to become the next leader of the National Commission on Human Rights, showing in a foreign luxury car with flashing paparazzi cameras as she left.

"I'm too ugly to be a prostitute," Julius Retoblaut said, laughing. "But I can be his bodyguard."

The threat of violence is very real: Indonesian National Human Rights Commission receives about 1,000 reports of abuse each year, starting with the murder and rape of the termination of the group. Worldwide, at least one person is killed every two days, according to the monitoring of the project Trans murders, which collects reports of the murder.

Evie said she chose its current name because she thought it sounded sweet. But she added, as she released her national identity card, her official title and male sex Turdi. A few old-timers near the old Menteng Obama confirmed that her nanny Turdi worked for two years, as well as take care of her baby sister, Maya. Asked about the nanny, the White House would not comment.

Other statistics give hope to women as they move into the 21st century. Literacy of women in Lesotho on men and women serving as head of state in Sri Lanka for 23 years.

In 2011, the Commission on the Status of Women at the United Nations, Ms. Michelle Bachelet, the head of Women United Nations, said in his closing remarks: "The education and equal access and participation in science and technology for women of all ages not only necessary for the achievement of gender equality and the empowerment of women - they are also an economic necessity, offering women the knowledge and understanding of the need for continuing education, employment, improving the physical and mental health, as well as full participation in the socio-economic and political development. "Moreover, the position of women and girls is in its essence, a moral question, which reflects the state of human rights within the society as a whole.

Key findings 10.

1. The best place to be a politician: in Rwanda. Women hold 45 of the 80 seats in the Parliament of Rwanda - the only place where women hold a majority. Or, Belize, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, no women members in their parliaments. In the U.S., women hold 93 out of 539 seats in Congress.

2. The best place to give birth: Greece has the lowest rate of maternal mortality in childbirth (one in 31,800). Southern Sudan is the highest. The United States ranks 40 out of 181 countries and has improved its maternal mortality rate (up to 17 per 100,000 population) over the past 100 years.
3. The best place to break the glass ceiling: With 45% of managers, Thailand has the most women, "the dog at a high level." It is believed that about 20% of American women in leadership positions, while in Japan the figure is only 8%.

10 most powerful women in the world

4. The best place to longevity: On the positive side, women in Japan have a life expectancy of 87 years (average life expectancy for men is 80). Women in Lesotho is home to approximately 48 years on average. Hope for the life of American women 81.3 years on average, but decreased in the international rankings over the past five years because of obesity, smoking and other risk factors.

5. The best place to be an athlete: Topping the list of five of the ten paid athletes in the world, the United States. Saudi Arabia is the worst and did not send a woman to the Olympics.

6. The best place for Reproductive Rights: Sweden does not have the consent requirements for abortion and allow women to have abortions without restrictions up to 18 weeks. Nicaragua, the Philippines and El Salvador has a total ban on abortion. In the U.S. it is a hot issue with the restrictions and availability varies from state to state.

7. The best place for high-skilled jobs: almost 60% of highly skilled jobs in Jamaica are women, compared with 2% of jobs similar to Yemen.

Eight. The best place to be an artist: in Sweden, the government mandates, subsidies from the films will be divided equally between men and women, and the Council promotes equality in general. Despite the fact that it is not a bad place to be a woman artist in 2011, only 5% of the 250 best films made by women are gross.

9. The best place literacy for women (than men), Lesotho ranks first in literacy among women 95%. Male literacy is 83%. In Ethiopia, only 18% of women are literate.

10. The best place to be a woman: political participation, education, health and employment statistics, the independent ranks Iceland as the number one country for women around the world.

There Are Mobile Phone Jammers Next Big Thing?

There Are Mobile Phone Jammers Next Big Thing?: Philadelphia man was caught this week for the use of jamming cell phone to keep his fellow travelers in the bus transit use their mobile phones.

"I guess I take the law into their own hands," he told NBC10 on unlawful interference ", and frankly, I'm proud of it."

Teresa Masterson, writer at NBC10, the first meeting with interference in the morning and he told investigators, NBC. She said the Philebrity blog:

While riding the bus, my cell phone signal suddenly went out, which is not normal, and continued to search for a signal for 15 minutes. After a little while, I noticed that everyone else on the bus on his/her cell was having the same problem. Then, I see this guy (pictured at right). He’s openly holding something that looks like a walkie talkie with four antennae in his hand the whole time. Anytime someone would try their cell again, this guy would subtly turn in their direction, press a button and point it at them, then continue reading his book under his creepy hood… I’m pretty sure it was one of those devices that cuts off signals; Jennifer Lopez used one in Enough, so that’s all the scientific analysis I need.

It goes without saying that such a device is illegal. Interference that blocks radio frequencies, it is not limited to personal use of blocking cell phone, but all the communication tools that use these frequencies. What does this mean? Mostly noise that reduces the noise level of personal conversations M-14 bus and has the potential to cut communications between the driver and control centers and public authorities, which may lead to public safety or the confusion of the disaster. Noise and block incoming calls, which means that if it is used for a long time you stop someone in your area, urgently, to hear, even extreme, news.

But while today's news on the Internet and the subsequent outrage over more than one person, the practice of cell phone interference is actually much more on track in New York and Washington CD. I spoke with two "jammers" this morning that led to the purchase of aircraft, which range from $ 40 to more than $ 10,000 on such sites as Jammerall.com. Some boast of rays of 15 feet, while others say that they are used on military vehicles and counter-terrorism maneuvers.

"It's the best thing ever," said one of New Jersey, New York commuting operating noise of his 40-minute ride New Jersey Transit every morning. He did not leave it to the race, he said, as another passenger says "too hard" or. "Too long", "It's in your pocket - they have even a shadow resembling a pack of cigarettes. I think it is effective within a radius of about 15 feet, maybe more, "he said.

"When I used it, it's hard to cut the speaker on the train, sitting next to me." He said he bought it online from the website, which imports the devices in China, where they are legal and, when asked, said he never felt sorry for the preservation of its pilots train colleagues talk. "Not guilty," he said, "Just personal applause."

"I always have a grace period of phone calls," said another interference, who boards a train in Washington, MARC, about 30 minutes. "As someone once said," Well, I'm in the office for 10 minutes, we can discuss it, "I will not jam. But if you talk about what you did last night, and what curtains to get home , then yes. silencer. "

Does he feel guilty? The reason the public does not it? Not so much. "People are super-drunk and whine about their phones all the time. But I think it gives me some control against what I consider the society becomes more and more reckless."

"I'm not a threat to public safety," he says. "I'm not risking any more than anyone else on the subway every morning, no cell reception in danger."

The biggest losers in the debt deal

His statement last night to do between the Congress and the White House to raise the debt ceiling, President Obama has said that Washington's leaders are now "must be addressed to all of our time" to address the economic ills more general. But the contract itself could be a big impact on the economy is in trouble, if it passes Congress.

So, what is much more likely to mean for ordinary Americans?

Of course, the most important short-term effects of a plan to cut spending at least $ 2.4 trillion over the next ten years, is that the U.S. debt to avoid default. And 'unequivocally positive. Economists had warned that the default would be disastrous for everyone, throwing the world's financial markets into chaos and to initiate the rise in interest rates for years or even decades.

In addition to avoiding a standard, could potentially help treat boost the economy as a whole, as it managed just 0.8 percent growth in the first half of the year, with unemployment at 9.2 percent and talk about a double dip recession growing higher.

In a memorandum to investors released on Sunday by Mark Zandi, chief economist at Moody's Analytics prestigious, called the agreement "a big plus ... struggling economy." The uncertainty about the debt ceiling impasse, Zandi argued, has contributed to slow economic growth. "Business leaders are very nervous, and more efficient by taking up this drama has been resolved," he wrote. "Employers are not going to make that leap of faith, and to expand, given how little faith they have that policy makers will come through in time." When the problem is solved - assuming, of course, that a lot of passes Congress - that the mind can change.

Other economists say the agreement will not only reduce the uncertainty in the debt ceiling, but the broader issue of the deficit. By showing that business means Washington in combating these problems, they argue, the agreement will increase business confidence and boost the economy.

But it does not just raise the debt ceiling. It also calls for 2.4 trillion in cuts over the next decade. And that's where the effect may be less positive. Most economists say that reducing government spending when the economy is weak, is likely to cut jobs and growth by further weakening demand.

"Unemployment will be higher than it should," said Mohamed El-Erian, chief executive of Pimco, the world's largest bond investment, yesterday on ABC News. "The growth will be lower than otherwise. And inequality will be worse than it should."

How much? It is difficult to say precisely because it depends on which programs are cut, and it has not yet decided. But to have a rough idea, consider this: Zandi, who has worked with both Democrats and Republicans, determined in February that the original budget passed by Parliament earlier this year that cut $ 100 billion in spending in 2012, cost about 700,000 jobs by the end of 2012. The agreement announced yesterday calls for an annual average of $ 240 billion in cuts over the next decade. Very roughly, suggesting that the new plan will cost about 1.6 million jobs per year during this period.

Because the cuts are designed to be small in the coming years, the economy remains weak, then more during the latter part of the decade, that number is probably inflated. There is no doubt that the agreement will result in a significant drag on employment, at a time when more than 14 million Americans are out of work.

And the consensus is that job losses are more important than the positive effect of business confidence has increased. "When you look at the history of these things, the conclusion is that we should not delude ourselves," Paolo Mauro International Monetary Fund and an expert on the effects of downsizing, told the New York Times. "When you made fiscal adjustment in the short term, it has a negative impact on economic growth. "

The last point, which deviated from the center of relief over the deal: the rating of the United States may be less, however. The two major rating agencies warned last month that they had a genuine charm, thanks to concerns about Washington's ability to address long-term deficit problem.

Zandi in her statement to the judges that the debt ceiling of Commerce is likely to be enough to convince rating agencies to maintain the triple. But today, investors do not appear to be safe: Reuters reports that there is still a "general assumption" that is coming true, at least some authority. In this case, it would be difficult not only to Government but to ordinary Americans to borrow money, and the stock market will probably take a big impact.

So what is the first conclusive? It is quite obvious that the most fundamental level, the agreement debt ceiling is an asset to the economy because it keeps the country out of a catastrophic failure. But at least in the short-term savings that come with the journey to the task of fixing the economy and get Americans back to work to increase even more.
